What's new and upcoming with Citrix technology and features

Currently FAS relies on the Microsoft Cryptographic Service Provider (CSP) for cryptographic operations within FAS. This has been replaced with the Microsoft Key Storage provider (KSP) which includes a number of modern cryptographic methods such as probabilistic padding (PSS) and operations for Elliptic Curves (ECC).

New in App Layering 2309, there is now an image template option which, when enabled, defragments the published image created from the App Layering appliance.  

The App Layering appliance system OS will be upgraded to a modern release of Linux.

Connector Appliance support is available for Citrix Cloud Japan control plane environment, providing benefits such as AD multi-domain connectivity.

In AWS environments, you can create an MCSIO enabled MCS machine catalog. This feature is supported only for non-persistent machine catalogs.

Allows you to utilize multiple workspace URLs to provide tailored use cases and resources to different user groups.

Citrix Endpoint Management will allow you to install the previously downloaded OS updates ASAP for iOS devices.

Domain name truncation will allow Citrix cloud to count unique users based on their account name alone. If you have users with the same account name under multiple domains, this feature will increase the accuracy of licensing statistics and reduce the likelihood of assigning multiple licenses to the same user.

Federated Authentication Service (FAS) officially supports Entrust Certificate Authority.
